Japanese Toys

Japanese Toys formed in 2006.

Their sound could be shortly described as emotional, catchy alternative rock with 4-part harmonies. The five piece boy-girl band released their debut double a-side single “On My Stereo / Brave New World” in November 2007.

The title track "On My Stereo" was awarded Reviewer’s Pick and three times Best Female Vocals on garageband.com and made it to number 6 in the irish download charts. Garageband chose the B-Side track "Brave New World" as the Track of the Day on 21st January 2008 in the Alternative Rock category.

Reviews:

“…rock at its finest, complete with guitar solos, harmonized vocals, christ, even the drums

seemed to be pounding at raised thirds…Their performance set the bar at this show.” – Liam Tyrrell, Drop-d.ie

“Two gals, two guys and a sackful of songs which prove that Japanese Toys aren’t your bog

standard boy-girl band.” – Hot Press Magazine

The J-Toys recorded their debut album "Dance Me" in 2007. Unfortunately, they disbanded before the album was released officially.
